Get Started in One of Our Design Programs Today!

Students should apply for admission as soon as possible in order to be officially accepted into one of our design programs for a specific starting date. To apply, students should complete the Academy’s Application Form and contact the Academy for a priority appointment to visit the campus and receive a tour of campus facilities.

All applicants are required to complete a personal interview with an admissions representative. Prospective students for our design programs who reside outside the area may request a telephone interview. Parents and/or spouses are encouraged to participate. Applicants and their families will have an opportunity to see the Academy’s equipment and facilities (if they visit the campus) and to ask questions relating to the Academy’s curriculum and career objectives. Personal interviews also help Academy administrators determine whether an applicant is eligible for acceptance.

Once an applicant has completed and submitted the Application Form, Enrollment Agreement, and paid the application fee, The Academy reviews the information and informs the applicant of its decision. If an applicant is not accepted into one of our design programs, all fees paid to The Academy are refunded.

Candidates for admission into one of the design programs must have earned a high school diploma or its equivalent prior to matriculation to The Academy. High school seniors may apply for admission but the high school diploma should be received before the student will be permitted to begin class. To demonstrate evidence of high school graduation or equivalency, the Academy must be provided with (1) a high school transcript or (2) GED scores or certificate stating that the student is a high school graduate or equivalent.

Housing

The Academy does not provide on-campus housing, but does assist students in locating suitable housing off campus.
